Can't Kill Heroes had a local beginning as a group of friend who each has an
overflowing passion for music and decided to move into a more public
setting playing venues across southwest Virginia. The band currently
resides in Pulaski County, Can't Kill Heroes sound is unique in their own, with
compelling lead guitar riffs, solos, and emotion filled rhythms and
melodies the band strives to be it's greatest at every show they
perform. With a combined musical background of over 38 years this rock
band knows what they are doing. This band is a great grass roots rock
band that will appeal to any who enjoys good music!
Band members:
Sarah Edmonds - (Guitar, Lead Vocals, Trombone) Sarah is a music performance
major at East Tennessee State University. She spends most of her time
locked up in a practice room with a trombone glued to her face. She
plans to excell in music, whether it be with singing or playing jazz.
Either way, music is her love. That and cleaning toilets.
Jonathan Sampson - (Lead Guitar and Vocals) Jonathan is an engineer and
a graduate of Virginia Tech. He spends a lot of his time playing guitar
and writing new music. When he’s not writing music, you can find him at
a UT football game or watching “Spinal Tap”. One day he did actually
spontaniously combust. “Dozens of people spontaneously combust each
year. It’s just not really widely reported.”
Jacob Edmonds - (Guitar) Jacob really brings out the energy of
the group with his loud and proud guitar riffs and pinch harmonics. So
when you’re not looking, he may accidentally make your ear drums bleed.
In the nicest way possible, that is.
Paul Riggins - (Drums, Guitar, Xilophone, Cow Bell, and whatever else we can find for him to bang on.) Paul has been
playing the drums for over 9 years. He has a tendency to shake the
gound we walk on. He has taken recording classes with Berklee College
of Music and currently has his own home studio. This is where we record
all of our super-sweet tunes.
